If I am given a chance to show the beauty of Taiwan to a foreign friend, I will choose the eastern coast of Taiwan, including both Hualien and Taitung. In my opinion, the eastern part of Taiwan has the most breathtaking scenery in the world. Compared to that in cities, the pace of life in the countryside is slow, and people naturally develop the habit of taking their time in whatever they do. This will certainly help visitors relax and enjoy their stay there. Moreover, with mountains on one side and the Pacific Ocean on the other, nature is in its prettiest form in Hualien and Taitung. I believe such peace and quiet will without a doubt create many unforgettable memories in the mind of my foreign friend. That’s why I will choose the eastern coastline as our destination.
